Ruth & Chris's Wedding Day at St Andrew's Church, Biggleswade

Ruth & Chris's wedding took place at St Andrews Church in Biggleswade, a lovely church which can be dated back to around 1340. The clouds were looking a little grey as I drove from Hitchin up to Biggleswade which was where Ruth was leaving from.  I was greeted by a very calm bride and all around her was calm, lovely but it doesn't happen often. The ceremony was quite early being at 11.30am and I arrived at the church at the same time as Ruth and her Dad, sadly now the heavens had open and Ruth made a dash from the car to the church, she didn't get too wet in the process. All through the ceremony the rain was lashing down so I started to format a plan as it looked as though the photos would have to be taken in side, jammy or what but as Ruth & Chris exited the church the rain stopped, someone was watching down on them, I whizzed through the photos they had asked for as the black rain clouds were heading our way again. It just started to rain as I took the last shot and we mad a dash for the reception venue.

The reception was being held at the conservative club which is next door to the church, still it made for some good photos of Ruth and Chris huddled together under a brolley, me walking backwards taking photos hoping I wasn't going to land in a big puddle or worse still fall backwards, I survived as all 3 of us picked up speed as it was now lashing down. The meal was a five course affair and the meal was prepeared and served by Halsey's Delicatessen & Tearooms, as I was lucky enough to also be eating I can testify the meal was fantastic, I would highly recommend these guys for any of your catering needs, simply first rate. The afternoon concluded with the traditional speeches and cake cutting, the end to a fantastic relaxed wedding.
